FOR AUCTION Inactive biogas power plant in Cancello ed Arnone (CE), Bonito area, Via Vincenzotto 6 - LOT 1

Biogas energy production plant, consisting of a concrete digester and an internal combustion cogeneration engine in a container, and equipment such as piping, pumps, trenches and sheds for storage, electrical substation, located in the Bonito area.

The unit was built on third-party land under a contract for the transfer of the right of superficies on third-party land for a duration of 20 years, automatically extendable by 5 years twice and therefore by 10 years, unless the concessionaire exercises the option to waive it. The fee was set at 2,500 euros/year for the first 20 years and 3,000 euros/year for the subsequent 10.

The plant has an electrical power of 100 kW, for a maximum deliverable electrical power therefore of 700 kW, and consists of a single fermenter fed by livestock effluents (as well as any by-products of food origin), collected in a suitably sized pre-tank obtained from volumes already available on the farm. The fermenter is equipped with a gas-holder dome for biogas storage.
The biogas produced is conveyed to the cogeneration engine for the production of electrical and thermal energy, following pre-treatment for dehumidification and desulfurization,
while the digestate is conveyed to the existing storage tanks to be reused as a stabilized soil improver for fertilizing the fields. The plant is fed using the effluents produced by the livestock farm adjacent to where the plant itself was built. In this way, the biomass can be moved, into and out of the digester, solely through buried pipelines and pumps, avoiding road transport and/or mechanical vehicles. In order to ensure a constant availability of biomass for feeding the digester, and to avoid drops in biogas production, provision was also made for a
back-up system for loading stackable material, able to compensate for any possible and temporary shortage of pumpable biomass due to potential farm-related issues. It is not necessary to equip the area with any storage site for supplementary biomass, since it is expected that the raw material will be transported to the site as needed according to integration/feeding requirements.

In order to maximize the value, i.e., its profitability, it is advisable to convert the currently inactive biogas production plant to biomethane.

On the plant, on 28/01/2016, a right of superficies and easement was established (Registered in Naples 1 on 09/02/2016 no. 2693 Series 1T)
