Biogas Plant in Picerno (PZ), Contrada Boscotrecase - Surface Property
Anaerobic digestion plant (BIOGAS) located in the municipality of Picerno in the Boscotrecase area. It can be reached by traveling about 7 km from the Balvano exit on the Potenza-Sicignano motorway or by traveling 3.5 km from the SP Picerno Baragiano.
The plant consists of:
Storage and pre-mixing tank of approximately 900 m3 equipped with agitators
First stage digester of approximately 3000 mc
Second stage digester of approximately 1000 mc
Gasometer of approximately 800 mc with a floating metal roof
Area for storing solid digestate of approximately 150 sqm equipped with side walls
Storage basins for liquid digestate of approximately 2500 sqm with a depth of 2 meters
Biogas engine-generator set of approximately 200 kW electric
Emergency flare
Covered rooms with a total area of 200 sqm
The warehouse is not subject to liquidation procedures.
The plant, built in 2014, operated for about two years and, following a seizure, has never received maintenance. Considering that many of the machines have remained submerged in sludge or exposed to the elements, it can be assumed that for them to be put back into operation, they must undergo radical maintenance and in some cases complete replacement.
It is noted that there is a precautionary seizure order equivalent to the plant for sale issued by the G.I.P. of the Court of Potenza and regularly recorded.
