The lands are registered at Land Registry of City of Lucera at sheet 14:

The soils in question are very steep and of a purely clayey nature not suitable for cultivation.
The land was used as a quarry for the mining activity which has now ended. The new intended use of the land, subject to authorization, could be that of landfill.
